I have been asked many times to provide an API (web service) for accessing wahapedical data. I do not have the ability to run a web server 24 hours a day, providing data on demand. In addition, I do not see the need to provide data in this mode (it is not an airport website after all). However, there are some things that can be done.
WHAT?Here is the export data for all datasheets / abilities / stratagems. Data I provide is a set of
csv files linked through identifiers. For now export data is being done for the 40k and AoS. There will be demand for the rest of the games - I will add as far as possible.
HOW?The picture below shows an example of how the export data is related to the display of the
Crusader Squad page on the site.
WHERE?Specification with links to all files situated
here. The specification text is given in Russian and English.
WHEN?
The files will be updated as the site is updated. Roughly speaking: I corrected an error in the ability - I update files, added a datasheet - I update files. It takes 15 minutes.
WHY?The export data can be used to research game mechanics and develop related interfaces. When publishing your work, mentioning Wahapedia is highly recommended. For example, with the inscription "powered by Wahapedia". And of course, show off your work! Worthy ones I will publish on my
Discord server.
If the provided data turned out to be useful to you, consider the opportunity to
support the project.

Below you will find exciting examples of Export Data usage.
rebusstats.com
Rebus Stats is a mathhammer tool using Wahapedia’s data export. Upload your roster files from the official 40K app or New Recruit and see graphed damage output across your entire army against various enemy profiles, plus how many wounds your units can withstand from enemies of different toughness values.
Modify units with buffs or debuffs and recalculate to compare. Which weapon loadout is best? Should you take the leader with full re-rolls or +1 Toughness? Use Rebus Stats to find out!
Forces
Forces is a tool for organizing and viewing NewRecruit rosters while you play. It now supports basic roster editing in the app, can it can be used on it’s own to create lists for every game system.
Arbiter
Meet
Arbiter your AI Rules Judge:
Arbiter is a free AI-powered rules assistant built for tabletop gamers. Ask it a rules question in plain English and get a clear, sourced answer in seconds, no more flipping through PDFs mid-game.
For
Warhammer 40k, Arbiter draws on official 10th Edition rules, faction packs, balance dataslates, and Wahapedia data to answer questions about core mechanics, datasheets, stratagems, detachment rules, and more. It also supports
Magic: The Gathering and
Warmachine, with additional games on the way.
Arbiter is currently in beta. It’s maintained by a husband-and-wife team as a passion project for the tabletop community. We’re actively improving accuracy and expanding coverage, so feedback is welcome, it helps us make Arbiter better for everyone.
Dicecodex
Dicecodex is a responsive web app, also adapted for mobile, that lets users browse and analyze units from all Warhammer 40K armies.
It has two main sections:
- Army Inspector
This section lets you select one army or all armies at once. In table mode, you can sort and filter units to find which ones are the most effective for a competitive list. You can also open each unit to view its full profile, weapons, abilities, and rules. - Versus
This is the most powerful feature. You select an attacking unit and a defending unit, then move to the Versus screen. There, you can review both units attributes, configure the number of models on each side, select weapons, and apply any relevant bonuses.
After that, the system automatically reads the stats and modifiers and lets you choose between three simulation modes:
- Dice mode: rolls the dice and shows the results step by step, including possible attacker and defender re-rolls, with a full explanation of each roll to simulate a real tabletop situation.
- Average mode: calculates the expected result as if the situation were repeated thousands of times, including charts.
- Odds mode: shows the most probable outcomes, also with charts, to help make the best decision in each matchup.
With these modes, DiceCodex helps you predict the outcome of a battle and act like a real general, choosing the best tactical option to lead your army to victory.
All dropdowns support favorites, so users can keep their most frequently used miniatures always close at hand.
The open/closed state of the configuration panels is also saved, so the application keeps the user’s preferred layout every time they come back.
